Description

The double-angle collet is noted for its parallel gripping capability due to the two angles and the opposed split configuration which places the parallel bearing on the tool shank as well as the full diameter of the tool. Collet Range is -.5mm (-.0196")

Toolholder Collets

Both single and double-angle collet designs provide the rigidity needed to get tool "pushback" control, prolonged tool life, less machine downtime, and more parts per hour when compared to conventional tool holding methods. Collet faces, shoulders, and diameters are precision ground and each collet is gaged to exacting standards.

TG (tremendous grip) single-angle collets are recommended when extreme accuracy and maximum grip are required, especially on N/C machining center applications. The multi-slot design provides the right amount of transverse and axial flex needed for positive tool gripping. And with this kind of tool rigidity, optimum speeds and feeds can be used to reduce costly machining time.

Double-angle collets are the economical way of holding small OD tools securely. These collets provide positive gripping capacity because the opposed split configuration places parallel bearing on the tool shank, as well as the full diameter of the tool.

Single and double-angle collets feature a compression range of up to 1/64". For exacting accuracy, collets are internally ground and tested to maintain a .0005" TIR (total indicator reading) or less.
